Position: Production Operative

Location: Dewsbury

Hours: 4 on 4 off: 2 x 06:00 - 18:00, 2 x 18:00 - 06:00

Salary: £12.60 per hour, plus £2,000 pa shift allowance and £0.50 per hour attendance bonus.

There is the opportunity to earn up to £15.50 per hour dependent upon skill level.

 

Job Overview

All operatives will be trained and become qualified to operate a counterbalance forklift.  Other training will include learning how to operate a variety of different mixing, moulding, and kiln machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all stages of the catalyst manufacturing process, from raw material preparation through to finished product.
  • Operate and monitor mixing, moulding, kiln, and other specialist production machinery (full training provided).
  • Handle and prepare raw materials to precise specifications, ensuring consistent product quality.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout production, maintaining high standards and identifying any issues promptly.
  • Complete basic equipment checks and maintain accurate production records.
  • Work collaboratively to meet production targets while following all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and support a positive, team-focused working environment.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment - essential
  • The role involves manual handling and standing for extended periods.
  • Hard-Working, self-motivated attitude.
  • Some flexibility due to the shift pattern.
  • A willingness to learn.
  • A good level of literacy and numeracy.
