Position: Quality Control Technician

Location: 5918 South Highway 35, Alvin, TX 77511

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Job Overview

Are you passionate about hands-on lab work, analytical testing, and ensuring products meet the highest standards? Join our growing team as a QC Technician where you’ll play a key role in supporting production, validating product quality, and keeping our laboratory running at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples and perform detailed analyses using a variety of analytical instruments
  • Conduct capacity and absorbency testing using specialized performance test rigs
  • Perform routine quality control testing on raw materials and finished products following established SOPs
  • Verify in-process testing performed by the production team
  • Accurately record test results, maintain documentation, and assist with basic data interpretation
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Identify potential hazards and consistently adhere to strict safety procedures
  • Uphold company policies while maintaining excellent housekeeping in the lab
  • Manage and maintain the retain sample library
  • Support additional tasks and special projects as assigned by management

Skills & Experience

  • Educational background in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience operating analytical equipment
  • Strong ability to learn new practical techniques and apply them to real-world technical challenges
  • High accuracy when using technical instruments and conducting measurements
  • Ability to maintain and calibrate lab equipment
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Flexibility and a collaborative mindset; able to support colleagues across departments
  • Excellent oral communication skills for working with internal teams and explaining technical methods
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience working with LECO and/or XRF analytical systems would be advantageous
